Corporate Contribution Program Overview
Overview
Rosemont Copper owns the Rosemont Ranch on the remote east side of the Santa Rita Mountains, a site which has had mining for more than 100 years. Rosemont Copper is committed to development that benefits southern Arizona today while supporting the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, both economically and environmentally. Rosemont will continue to operate as a working cattle ranch, with public recreational access in separate areas throughout the life of the mine, and beyond. Following mine closure the land will remain open space in perpetuity.
Community Goals and Contribution Priorities
Rosemont Copper wants to support partnerships building stronger communities and providing programs that educate our youth, protect our environment, and preserve our culture. Our Corporate Contributions Program grants are designed to support:
- Education, particularly in the “STEAM” subjects of science, technology, engineering, agriculture and mathematics
- Research and career development especially in the areas of mining, metallurgy, hydrology, environmental sciences, ranching and renewable resources
- Support for the history and culture of ranching and mining
