During permit activities, this position entails working with hydrological and geochemical consultants to review models and monitoring programs. During detailed engineering, the candidate will be responsible for working with the design engineers and consultants to determine management processes to minimize impacts to surface and groundwater.

Description:
This is an entry level engineering position or a mid-level technician position to assist with water quality and quantity monitoring for permitting and modeling activities. This job will require field work for water monitoring with additional duties as assigned.

This position requires a B.S. degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related disciplines. Fifteen years of progressive experience which includes engineering, production, maintenance, quality control, and supervision at mineral processing facilities of comparable size and complexity is also required. Strong overall metallurgical expertise is required. Experience in a sulfide copper/molybdenum concentrator. Heap Leach SXEW experience would be a plus.

EMPLOYMENT
When the Rosemont Ranch project is in full operation as a mine, it will employ an estimated 500 professional, trades and labor over a period of 20 to 25 years. That will be in addition to the approximately 1,000 people who will be employed during construction and in support roles while the mine is in operation - employment for some 1,500 Arizona families for a full generation. Historically, mining jobs are among the highest-paying positions in Arizona.
Even though the Rosemont Copper is still in the planning stages, we welcome inquiries from local residents seeking future employment.
SPECIFICS ON OTHER ROSEMONT COPPER OPPORTUNITIES:

General and administrative operations will include 40 positions, primarily salaried, working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday):
- - 2 administration
- - 12 accounting and procurement
- - 3 human resources
- - 15 safety and environmental services
- - 8 laboratory services
Mine operations will employ 284 workers when fully operational; 45 positions will be salaried, the rest will be hourly. The salaried jobs will be:
- - 9 in mine engineering (40 hrs M-F)
- - 13 in geology (40 hrs M-F)
- - 23 shift supervisors (12 hr shifts - 4 days on/4 days off )
The remaining 239 hourly operations positions will offer two 12-hour shifts a day, 7 days a week for the following:
- - operations haul truck drivers
- - drill operators
- - blasters, shovel and loader operators
- - dozer and motor grader operators
- - laborers
- - trainees
Hourly maintenance (a day crew on 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week) includes:

A small maintenance crew will also work a night shift.
Mill Operations offer 17 salaried and 79 hourly jobs.

SX/EW (Solvent Extraction) Operations will employ eight salaried and 28 hourly staff:

Hourly positions will work two 12-hour shifts, 4 days on/ 4 days-off:

In addition, at least another 1,000 indirect service and support jobs will be created, These indirect jobs will be for contractors and vendors providing goods and services to mine operations during the nearly two decades of operation.
Up to 1000 construction jobs will be available for the on-site construction phase. Building Rosemont Copper facilities should take 18 months, beginning as soon as all government permits are in place.
Construction of Rosemont Copper is expected to employ workers 10 hours per day, five days a week over 18 months. Employee levels will increase to about 125 in the second month and will peak at about 900 in the seventh month. Peak employment will be maintained for about five months. As construction is completed, the number of jobs will decline to about 225 by month 16 with 45 staff wrapping up the work by the last month.
