Rosemont Copper Will Have Major Local and National Economic Impact
The local economy will get a significant long-term boost from the Rosemont Copper mine, which is expected to add almost $5 billion to Pima County’s economy over its 19-year productive life. Additionally, the mine will contribute more than $9 billion to Arizona’s economy, nearly $44 billion to the U.S. economy and will create and support more than 11,000 jobs nationwide with the minerals it produces.
